Writing Blog Comments That Get You Traffic
Comments are one of the best things about writing blog posts and articles online. Authors love to get comments on their work, but only when the comments are well written. If you want to comment on articles, in hopes of connecting with potential readers or even customers, you need to write your comments carefully.
Compliments will only get you so far. Having nothing more than a compliment on their website in a comment won’t get the author excited enough to visit your site, nor will it get other readers clicking through. Share something, argue a point, or contribute to other conversations within the comments.
Leave your link in the appropriate place. The comment area of a blog is not free ad space for you. Spammy comments with inappropriate links will get sent to spam filters or deleted by most bloggers. Respect the site owner by using the url field for your links.
When you write thoughtful comments and maintain a level of decorum when posting to the webspace of others, you can take full advantage of the benefits and traffic that come with being a contributing member to the blog commenting community. Anything else, and you’ll be looked at as a lowly spammer.
