Creating Promotional Space At Twitter

Your profile space gives you one tiny little area to provide a bio. You can add one URL in the area. That’s it. For a service that wants to encourage a great deal of and to facilitate contact and relationship-building, that’s not a lot of space.

That’s why you need to create your own space. While Twitter strictly limits the area in which you can place text and live links, it gives you to create a graphical background for your profile page. While trumpeting your URL as part of a graphic isn’t as helpful as a , it beats nothing at all. All of that space also gives you a chance to share more about yourself and your business.

If you’re using a default Twitter background or are otherwise failing to use the space that is available to you, make a point of becoming more aggressive. Claim the territory. If you aren’t capable of doing the background generation yourself, there are free sites available that can create a reasonably compelling background for you. Or, you can hire someone to do something special.

Don’t settle for that one little area. Create some space to improve your Twitter experience.
